God Didn’t Get It Wrong

He'll Get It Right For You

By Pastor Justin Cooper

Ever drive I-40 at night?

It stretches out ahead of you, pitch black. Your headlights reach about a hundred fifty feet down the road. Maybe two hundred on a clear night. Past that, you've got nothing. Just darkness and the white line and the quiet faith that the road keeps going.

But here's what's wild — you and I can drive five hundred miles like that. Trip after trip. You never see the whole road. You just see the next stretch. And you keep going.

I'll tell you what — that's faith.

"The key for you and I is to live by faith and not sight. Not understanding — but faith."

That's what Pastor Cooper said Sunday morning. Not seeing the whole road. Just trusting the One who's driving with you.

Because here's the truth: God is on the throne. God is in the driver's chair. And God knows what He's doing.

You and I keep wanting to see the next ten years before we'll trust Him with the next ten minutes. Brother, that's not how this works.

2 Corinthians 5 verse 7 says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." Not "when we understand it." Not "when the math adds up." By faith.

And listen — look back. Just look back.

Job lost everything. Didn't God get it right?

Paul sat in a Roman prison waiting on a sword. Didn't God get it right?

John on Patmos — alone on a rock in the middle of the ocean — and God split heaven open for him. Didn't God get it right?

Yeah. He got it right.

And He'll get it right for you, too.

So today — quit trying to see the whole road. Just go where the headlights are pointing. Make the next right call. Take the next obedient step. And keep singing the songs we sang Sunday: I choose the Lord. I can trust Jesus.

Past tense, future tense, present tense — He's been right every time.

He's not about to start being wrong with you.

Lord, I'm done trying to see the whole road. I'm taking the next step. I'm trusting You with what I can't see yet. You got it right for Job. You got it right for Paul. You got it right for John. And You're going to get it right for me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your Next Step

What is one obedient step you already know you need to take this week — even though you can't see the whole road? Take it before Sunday.
