Three words shape everything we do at Gospel Light Teens. They're the path a nervous first-timer walks to become a student who owns their faith and helps lead the way for the next one in the door.
Belong
We don't think any student should have to walk through life alone. And here's the thing — you're not alone. Everyone here is wrestling with the same stuff you are. Hang around a while and you'll find friends who start to feel like family.
Believe
We believe God can! We study the Scripture, dig into the real questions, and point to the real answer — Jesus. This is where faith stops being something handed to you and becomes your own, strong enough to actually stand on.
Become
It's our goal that every student becomes more like Christ — and the person God created them to be. God isn't finished with you. We're here to help you grow, serve, and step into it, for life, not just for high school.
What You Can Expect
Nervous about your first night? Don't be. Here's exactly how it goes.
Food
Everyone loves snacks! Come early and grab some chips or a sweet treat, plus drinks and your caffeine fix for the day.
Games
We kick off with games and time to connect. Come as you are — there's no dress code and no pressure.
Singing & Message
We'll sing some songs together — including a special song from one of our teens — and dig into a truth from God's Word that connects to what you're actually facing this week.
Prayer
A time of prayer where you can personally ask God to help you with whatever you're walking through.

First Sunday of the month — come worship together. Sep 6, Oct 4, Nov 1 & Dec 6.
We're taking the show on the road — Men & Boys Retreat (Sep 11), Faith Community Baptist (Sep 12), and the Reaching the Next Generation Youth Rally (Sep 19).
Fire, food, and good hangs under the stars at the Moates' house. Bring a friend and come as you are.
Get lost in the maze and grab dinner after. We leave the church at 3:30 — bring money for admission & food.
Food, friends, and thankfulness in the Small Fellowship Hall. Come hungry and bring your people.
Our first-ever football showdown, out on the soccer field. Come ready — leave it all on the field and have a blast.

Hey there — we're Joe & Emma Moates, and we have the joy of leading Gospel Light Teens. There's nothing we'd rather do than walk with students as they come alive in their faith.

Parents — welcome to our youth page! First, one thing we want to make crystal clear: we are not trying to replace you. We believe God placed your child in your care for a reason, and our prayer is simply to come alongside you and help your teenager grow — both socially and spiritually.
As you've already seen, our core values are Belong, Believe, and Become. Your teenager belongs in a youth group, and honestly, that largely depends on you. We encourage you to let your student be involved in as much as they possibly can — we can only help them if you let us!
